The growth and long-term competitiveness of the modern football industry rely heavily on fresh ideas, emerging technologies, and sustainable business models. In this context, strong collaboration between public institutions and innovation hubs represents a critical engine for connecting regional entrepreneurial ecosystems with the broader dynamics of international sports business.
Reflecting this commitment to regional economic development, the Rome Chamber of Commerce—supported by its Special Agency Sviluppo e Territorio—and the Lazio Region, through Lazio Innova, have launched a joint public call. Together, they will select 3 top Startups and SMEs based in the Lazio region operating within the football sector, providing them with a platform at the ninth edition of the Social Football Summit, taking place on November 10–11, 2026, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
This strategic initiative is designed to deliver maximum visibility, operational resources, and high-level networking opportunities to the region’s most promising innovators.
A concrete growth opportunity for Regional Businesses
The call is open to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with registered or operational headquarters in the Lazio region that develop forward-thinking solutions for the sports industry. Target verticals span key areas driving sector transformation:

The three companies selected by the Evaluation Committee will receive a comprehensive package of exhibition services fully supported by the Rome Chamber of Commerce. Benefits include a dedicated exhibition space (3×2 m) equipped with a desk and monitor within the regional pavilion, brand exposure across Allianz Stadium screens, delegate passes, and full access to the official B2B app to schedule targeted meetings with national and international buyers.
Application process and deadlines
Selection will follow a first-come, first-served evaluation process based on eligibility criteria, reserving one spot for youth-led enterprises (under 35) and prioritizing companies that did not participate in the previous edition’s regional delegation.
Applications must be submitted no later than 10:00 AM CEST on Monday, October 19, 2026. Applicants must complete the online registration form on the Lazio Innova portal and submit the signed Expression of Interest form via Certified Email (PEC) to the Rome Chamber of Commerce.
